Did you know Peru has over 3800 different types of potatoes?
The Peruvisn Inkas were the first to cultivate potatoes around 8,000 BC to 5,000 BC. In 1536 Spanish conquistadors conquered Peru and discovered the potato and carried them to Spain in 1570. From Spain the potatoes slowly spread to Italy and other European countrys. In 1589 Sir Walter Raleigh introduced the potatoes to Ireland. The rest is History!
